The best bombas in Barceloneta | Can Ramonet

The Can Ramonet premises are clean and modern, but with details that remind the customer that this is a classic restaurant, from a seaside neighborhood. In short, a quite pleasant place, although a bit cluttered and used to the limit, for my taste. I was served by a very polite and very fast gentleman, although since it was mid-afternoon, the place was almost empty.

The first thing that caught my attention was the fact that the bomba was covered by a sauce, which served for both: the spicy one and the alioli. You could notice the garlic much, much more than the spice, which was only testimonial. My favorite part of this medium-sized bomba is the breading. It leans more towards panko than traditional breadcrumbs.

Very crispy and light. The potato was not dry at all and had a bit of black pepper. As for the meat, in the middle, there wasn’t too much and it was simply sautéed. It cost 1.95 euros.

Overall, I must say that it was not bad at all, especially the crispy and light crust.
