I admit that I went at a bad time, compared to the other bars or restaurants where I have gone to do the bomba test. They had the terrace packed, so I cannot evaluate the treatment I received in the same way as in the other places. Even so, it must be said, they were quite fast. I won’t evaluate the interior either, because I didn’t even poke my head in. I preferred to play the tourist a bit and sit on the terrace they have in the Plaça de la Barceloneta, which is lovely.

It was all pleasant to the eye, that bomba, perfect, with a little bit of chives on top of the sauces. Medium sized and the batter was neither too thin, nor a cement layer, the spicy sauce caught my attention, in which you could directly see the seeds of the chili pepper. Super potent. The alioli is also one of those for lovers of strong emotions and delicate stomachs. For this reason, in the end I couldn’t quite detect if there was only garlic in the sauce, or if they had also put it in the potato and the sofrito, both with a considerable amount of parsley. The amount of meat was more than decent, but I found it a bit dry. It put me off a bit to notice a fishy taste in the batter. That was either fried with the same oil as many little fish or some invention of the style. Nothing, an oversight, I guess… It cost 1.70.
